TARSIER ECLIPSE™ FAQS
What is the string that is attached to the body?
This is your 50lb test lanyard and in the packaging there should also be a swivel so you can attach your Tarsier Eclipse unit to your NVG.
Where are these made?
These are all made in the USA.
My unit feels stiff and it is inadvertently adjusting my NVG focus.
The Tarsier Eclipse was designed so that you can take it apart without any tools. You can simply pull the outer rubber housing off the Tarsier and slowly stretch it back out and if you have a cleaning kit, you can also apply a little lube. Here is a video to help: HERE
What is the proper way to set these up for the first time?
- Set up your NVGs to focus out to distance.
- Attach Tarsier Eclipse to NVGs
- Slowly dial your Tarsier Eclipse. Once the image in your NVGs starts to lose light, back off slightly from the Tarsier (opening it back up a tiny bit). This should be the perfect setting for the ambient conditions you're in.
Here is a step-by-step video of another way that is equally as good: HERE
